...eheads, "bartikal", and remembering an icon...

So i didn't get to sell the E-heads tickets Che apparently got on discount. Instead of selling it rock-bottom cheap, we decided to watch it ourselves.

EDSA was in it's regular self, being traffic all the way from Galleria. We endured, and got to MOA, where the concert was starting. Parking was a pain to look for, but we eventually got one, in one of the open lots they converted into parking to accomodate the people coming.

It was literally a sea of people. I was just confident that there aren't too many people who'd pay 5k for concert tickets...

Well, true enough, there weren't. Bad trip lang kasi I had to walk all the way back to the parking lot to keep our camera, which the ushers/guard claimed to be on the level of a "professional" camera.

Saw Dipa and Kring at the venue, and we watched the concert together with them..

Best thing about the concert: Andi Manzano, who turns out to be a friend of Kring's, was right in front of us.. Deym... If I had a pic of her then, I now have pic of us together... Which I will upload as soon as Dipa goes online and tags me on Facebook.

Great show, a treat it was to see them have a group hug at the end... Their last song, appropriately, was "Ang Huling El Bimbo". Ely lit up his piano and played a couple of lines before he kicked and jumped on it. Fireworks and all, everyone thought that was the end of it. So we left.

But then they came back and played a couple more songs. We didn't bother to go back, despite the lure of seeing Anne Curtis on stage singing an off-tune "Ligaya". We opted to go to the car so that we won't be stuck in traffic for like, forever. Their last last song was "Toyang". And by the time they were saying thank you, I was opening the doors of the car.

Overall, I thought the concert could've been louder. No, not them, but the people. It was like a freakin classroom out there. During an intermission where the E-heads seemed to show that they're done, the people didn't even shout "More!!" knowing full well that they'd be back anyway. Then again, I don't know. As stoic as Ely is, that's probably the same with how E-heads fans are.

Who the hell?

There was this car I've been trailing in EDSA (curiously, I never caught the plate number) with a sticker that says "Bartikal" at the back window. It was a black Mitsubishi Adventure. I was trailing it since Buendia, til the roads cleared by Taft. Then going into the parking area, he was the car in front of me..

Funny thing, as we were leaving, which was ahead of everyone else, they apparently had the same idea, as he again was the car in front of me as we were leaving the parking area...

Thank You Kiko

Ndi ikaw Dipa. Francis M., the icon that he is, died last Friday. Everyone changed their status messages in YM, people were texting about it, and I didn't know what to feel. But after seeing specials about him, I always feel like crying. Such a loss.
