...work, speakership, naia security ...

It's a welcome change, yes, the change of scenery from a call center environment... But it gets boring... Napapanis lang laway ko dito... No one to talk to, and currently not doing anything because nothing is being assigned to me as of the moment... Blogging, reading sports news and other odd news are once what filled my spare time when I was a teacher... Now, it fills my whole day... My cellphone is my friend... I have PSP as a friend too, but sometimes nakakahiya lang gamitin with all the old people busy and stuff here...

JDV lost the speakership.. I spent my Monday night watching the whole voting process filled with nonsensical bablles of explanations and Pilate-like proclamations about their votes.. Some common reasons were: for Mindanao reps, a chance to have a Mindanao rep as a speaker, and for most, if not all, neophytes, a chance for change... For Mindanao reps, what difference does it make to have a Mindanao rep sitting as the speaker? Does it actually mean advancing more of your needs? If that is the case, then you forget the 2 other major islands in the Philippines and selfishly focus on your island.. Yes, you might have been neglected for so long, but how could that one person change the whole Mindanao situation? The congress should be promulgating laws for the country, not for one particular island... Maybe that's why you were always unnoticed or neglected: other than NPA and other leftist groups who don't know what they want, you don't have any more considerable needs... In the case of the neophytes, I can't believe people actually voted for them... Why the hell do they think that a change of leadership means change per se? The people who advanced the need to change the speaker are the two sons of the President herself, who is in a squabble with JDV... What kind of change would happen then? JDV all but praised the GMA administration, and true, it is sad that he spoke only now, after years of serving what he says he despises now, but then isn't that change enough for you? Why take him out now, when he calls for change? At least now you know that the Arroyo administration no longer holds the house of representatives... But then you decide to change the speaker... But by having this "change", you welcome continuity, you strengthen the grasp of Malacañang over teh House of Representatives, or should we call them the extended house of Malacañang, considering that it is the will of Malacañang being advanced and not of those who these people represent...

Speaking of Malacañang's insecurities, my uncle has gone missing... No one knows where he is, and the scary thing is that the person who my uncle, in his last few text messages, said was with him, is now denying that he even welcomed him... Everyone was there at the airport; his brothers and sisters, the media who believed our message, and some religious leaders, came to protect him... But, lo' and behold, airport security won't let them pass... To comply with SOP, they didn't, and waited for him to arrive at the arrival area... But as it turns out, he made his exit through the VIP area, and went straight to a vehicle that vanished after a breif car chase... Now, the asshole in charge of security, the person my uncle said who took him, is denying that he saw him... He's saying that a certain Gen Dimabini called him, introduced himself as someone from the senate, and said that he will be escorting my uncle... Then a certain SPO4 Valeroso went to the airport, told them that he was going to escort my uncle, and they let him pass through the VIP area.. Asked which unit this SPO4 serves, Atutubo, the security guy, says he didn't ask.. Asked if the guy had any right to enter an area restricted to all, including media, senate officials, and family alike, he said Valeroso was the only one who coordinated with them, which is VERY unlikely, as the whole freakin senate is on my uncle's back right now because they need him to stand as a witness in the most controversial deal of this administration... Additionally, since he "coordinated" with them, he was given a pass by security personnel... Asked what was his proof, Atutubo answered "he had an ID, and it looked legitimate"... That, people, is how security is at the NAIA... And you wonder why the standards are very low now at that airport... Hell, if a terrorist had a legitimate-looking ID, he could just kidnap anyone from the airport...

What the palace did only makes things complicated... If they let him go, there is a risk that he might talk, considering what is happening right now, and people will flock him... If they don't let him go, people will speculate even more that he knows something... If they salvage him (and God forbid this), people will know that he does know something because the palace decided to keep him quiet, making them all the more guilty... This, hopefully, would trigger public empathy... I'm hoping people still care enough for this government to overthrow it... I mean, rushing to the streets is so passe, but we're experiencing Martial Law masquarading as a Democratic government... What the palace wants happens... It just comes out of the mouths of other people so that it would appear others actually advance their wants... Look, if the worst case scenario happens, the government will pull some terrorist out of prison, make him an ID from Quiapo, that would look like a "legitimate" ID, name him Valeroso, present him to the media as the guy who is responsible for whatever happened to my uncle, give a spit of whatever they earned from corruption to compensate for the loss, sentence the terrorist to death, then give favors to some members of the family, which would hopefully be enough for them, and the administration can go on with their happy corrupt ways, forgetting about everything that is happening now... This is not going to be the first time this freakin government messed up my family... They made a booboo before which led to the brutal murder of my only godfather, by no less than the "intelligence" division of the police force... But that's a different story...

Right now, I hope public clamor for the release of my uncle would compel this f*uckin adminstration to release him...

However, trying to sew the situation together, could it be that JDV is responsible for taking him? Think, by making his arrival as controversial as he it is now, the media and the people are made to believe more that he knows something important about the deal... A text message said that Atutubo was with my uncle, triggering the possibility of the government being responsible for his whereabouts... Joey is a friend of my uncle's, having met him during talks about the deal... He could be safe, and it might all be a show... Then again, Atutubo denying everything, and not being available to the media yesterday, with his reason "I don't know where they were, but I was there", plus the fact that he is no doubt involved in this conspiracy, dispels whatever possibility I have...

**Text message sa kin now, he is with his family right now, Gen. Razon claimed that no Roger Valeroso is with the PNP, but since Atutubo claimed that it was a police officer who took him, Razon was forced to admit that they took him into their custody... There is no reason for them to keep him, everybody's eyes are on them now... To make an excuse on his "kidnapping", my uncle may have been forced to write a letter of request to the PNP for security, so that it would seem that he was the one responsible for the whole incident and it was just blown out of proportion...

That, dear friends, is how the government works... It doesn't take much to be a house representative, but somehow, there are people in the background who does the careful planning for manipulations like these...

  7. with due respect dear voltaire, alam niyo ba na we have a mandatory provision in the Constitution for legislative inquiries? Meaning, failure or refusal to attend a legitimate legislative investigation of the witness may be punished as legislative contempt. Your uncle flew to Hongkong. (tama ba?) Summons were served and he didn't comply. Medyo walang kinalaman sa blog entry mo. Pero kasi, sa tingin ko, he should've complied. I know he's thinking about his safety, etc. Pero his rights will be the Congress' primary consideration naman eh. (Notwithstanding the fact na ang gulo gulo ng kongreso natin!) May alam ka ba? Oo nga share mo naman! ahahaha!

Wala lang. Ano meron on friday?

  9. Inrquirer.net last reported that Gen Razon informed people and media that he was in their custody, my comment about this is at the end of the blog... In reality, however, he is not with his family, rather, he is back in the PNP's custody right now...

Yeah, I know he bypassed some legal stuff there, I may not know the details, but somehow, I get the picture.. Sen Cayetano, visible as he is, is just like them, contrary to what I thought at first.. Its hard to think that even those guys I like in the senate are just packaged differently, but still, the same stench comes out of them...

it was a personal decision, leaving the country that is, because of threats... He is a palace aide, after all... The problem is that he wants to do what is right, but he doesn't want to be on the "bad side" of the president... Now, the opposition wants their share of the limelight in being the person "responsible" for getting this witness to cooperate, and my uncle doesn't want that... what he wants to do is do what he thinks is right, that is say what he knows, and these are not in any way influenced or fabricated by anyone else, not the opposition, not the administration, and not even JDV or his son themselves...
